Due to its lightweight, porous, and inert nature, Cinder provides better root aeration, good water drainage, better water retention, and protects plants from rot and fungal attack. Cinder can be used up to 50 % with the existing potting mix. The ideal composition for succulents is a mixture of 80 % of cinder and 10 % leaf mould and a balanced quantity of neem khali and activated charcoal with the use of water-soluble fertilizer like NPK 20:20:20 for better results.
